Fashion
At the beginning of the course, we did a two week section on fashion makeup, ranging from colour correcting, different ways to do eyeliner to a bold lip.
20's
50's
60's
Period Makeup
We covered everything from the 20's with thin arched eyebrows and pale skin to the more natural and shimmery 70's! My favourite era was the 50's absolutely loved the thin subtle eyeliner and the bold red lip.
Hair
One week of contemporary hair styling and one week of hair cutting. Starting with a voluminous blow dry, creating glamorous curls, perfecting a pony tail and mastering a french twist.
Airbrushing
Airbrushing was one of my favourite skills I learnt, its a great skill to have. It makes the skin look flawless and its great way to apply makeup.
Bodypainting
Character Make-up
During character week we covered ageing, using different products and applying colouring. Gained the skill of applying, cleaning and dressing facial hair.
Casualty Effects
Learnt how to apply bruises, cuts, grazes and scratches. Burns from 1st to 3rd degree. Scars, stitches, wounds and blood effects.
Prosthetics, Bald Caps & Life Cast
Final stage of the course we learnt how to apply a bald cap with a vinyl cap. Learnt how to do a life cast with silicone and alginate from start to finish, at the end we got to make a prosthetic creating them from using different materials.
